About Sierra Pines Youth Camp

Location

Sierra Pines Youth Camp is a 15-acre Christian Youth Camp nestled in the foot hills of the Sierra Mountains, located in North Fork, Ca. We're less than an hour from Yosemite National Park and we're only minutes from Bass Lake where you can go hiking, boating, swimming or just enjoy a picnic.

In The Beginning

In September of 1981 a group of men and women of the California Missionary Association got together in Fresno, Ca. for the purpose of forming a non-profit organization. Six was selected as trustees to run and over see the operations of our non-profit organization. The name Sierra Pines Youth Camp was selected.

Mono Mission School, North Fork

The trustees chose 15 acres of property that was for sale located just a few miles from the town of North Fork, Ca. This included five buildings on the property that was once used as a dental school a few years before the property was bought, and was once home of The Native Mono Indians of North Fork, as a missionary school, (seen here) under the leadership of the Presbyterian Church, in the early 1900's.

Our Purpose

Churches belonging to the BMACA now have a place of their own to bring the youth together for summer camps, weekend retreats, ladies' - men's retreats and church conferences, to worship God and all His Glory in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Mountains. We soon got the news out to other religious faiths and churches about our camp facilities, then other churches started to bring their youth groups for summer encampments and weekend retreats.

Going into 2020, our main purpose is still the same. We want to provide a wholesome environment where God, His Creation and His people are respected above all and a place where young and old can come to know Christ in the peaceful surroundings He has created.

We are open to all religious faiths that believes in Gods preaching, His teaching, and His work.

Thank you for talking the time to learn more about us.
